Buying Home theatre budget 25-30k

Sorry for bothering you people again.

Please suggest me Home theater for budget of 25-30k INR.

You will get HTiB from Denon, Yamaha and Onkyo at that price. The Onkyo 3500 is around 29-30K and Demo 1312xp and Yamaha 238 are also around the same range. Do not go for the HTiB from the likes of LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Philips, etc. You will be severely disappointed later.

Best way to decide is audition all four of them first.Onkyo/Denon/Yamaha/Pioneer.

Carry your media along ( movie clips/cds/dvds/mp3 etc)

Play your media while demo as per your preference, the way you would want when you finally take it home (movies/music, decide which one would you give much preference and what would be the ratio)

After this exercise, buy whichever sounds best to your ear.

Finally bought Yamaha YTH-196.

Compared it with onkyo 3400. Found that sound depth in yamaha better. However base was better in onkyo.

I am not much into base so bought yamaha, but I must say the sound quality(except base, which might be nullified by adding on a active subwoofer) is much better than onkyo 3400.

Bought it for INR 20,900. from Reliance digital(plus i have opted for the one year extended warranty for INR 1999, i didnt want it, he reqouted it for inr 1999 instead of inr 2999 so i opted it, though I am not sure whether it wil be any use.)

They will deliver the product today, and installation will be done tomorrow.

Extended warranty is always recommended, because avr servicing is very costly if there is no warranty. The servicing charge is around 1.2K minimum and you have to bear cost of spare parts.

Yamahas are known for their clean, clear and balanced sound...still if you are missing on bass, you can tweak the settings in your AVR to increase it as per your requirement.

ambience mall @ vasant kunj. They had onkyo 3400, yamaha 196, one pioneer, denon 1312, jbl/harman(2-3 variants), jambo(something like that). There were many.. There is a seperate section for hifi avr and they have sound proof room for audition. They had active subwoofers also(around 5-6 variants)
