can i connect a 140 w/c into 8 ohms amp to wharf 9.2s? wharf 9

Hi Guys,

As the title says can it be done? Its an integrated. The speakers are 1oo w into 6 ohms max.Will the amp fry my speakers? Or if it can be done should i keep my volume
down? Pleas help me out.

Go ahead and connect it. Infact more the power better especially at low volume listening, as well as more headroom for dynamic peaks

However don't push the speakers or the amp into clipping.

As soon as you start hearing the speakers getting strained it is time to tone down the volume knob.

Thanks Flash for the info. Planning to get a Kenwood vinatge amp. Hope it sounds better that my Marants 45 w/c amp.

seems this amp is part of a rack system called Roxy DG 55. Not much info on the net. Hope avidyrathy will give some info why thinks this is not worth it.
