yesterday i wandered into the FX entertainment store in MGF mall and found that the receivers and bd player alongwith all the ca components on display. Further they have the morduant short series of speakers as well.

Some prices i remember

receiver 650r - 82k

bd player - 38k

cd player 550 c - 28k

I read that this uses the same platform as Oppo BD-80. Costs slightly more than twice the BD-80 price. So, I would like to see the comparison between the two to see if CA has done something to justify the price difference.

Hallo Venkat,price can be the issue to go many for HTPC.

Agreed. If the cost of a BD Player is more than 15K, it makes more sense to make a HTPC for yourself. It is possible to make a very decent HTPC for about 25 to 30K.
