Checking Hours on Plasma!! How reliable is it

Hi All,

How reliable is hours check codes which we use for Panasonic Plasma.

A dealer who is clever enough to pack plasma like a new piece and dupe you can always reset the hours...

As far as I know, on screen menu does not offer any method to reset the panel hours. This can be done at the factory possibly. I doubt whether dealers have the required tools to do this. This is just like the kilometers displayed on the odometer. No second hand car dealer can change the odometer reading.
