Hello!
posting this on behalf of a friend.
he stays at Indore, and is a user of Reliance DTH (SD) since past 2.5 years. since a month, some channels on his STB either play very choppily, and mostly, don't play at all (like cnn-ibn, cnbc, discovery, etc.); complaining was of no effect - he was told that they don't have any problem from their side. we can send our service-personnel to you, for which we would charge you. now here lies my friend's gripe! he says that i have paid for those channels, YOUR STB has a fault, which is technically not my but your property, then why should i pay for the servicing?! also says, that their contract legally means nothing, as its a one-sided contract.
he has gone ahead to post about it on reliance big tv's fb & twitter accounts, consumercourt forums, and probably to akosha as well. he says that its wrong what reliance is doing, and we should not keep getting swooned. don't know much about it, hence thought of posting about it here to seek some suggestions. am sure some members here too must've taken this approach sometime. please advise if what he is doing would yield any positive result, or what other thing could he do (apart from paying the service-charge for the fault-rectification).
thanks!
