Hi,

I have stuffed my Technics Sl-D303 base with modeling clay(Funskool Playdoh).
I bought it from big bazar @ Rs175(Approx 500 gms). After stuffing clay my turntable is sounding like a high end TT, base has become tighter and treble are no longer harsh.I am attaching some pics for reference.

Innovative and bold step :clapping: Good thinking! I should try adding this over my CDP oscillator/clock maybe damp around the tray now maybe :ohyeah:

Cheers

what was the change in sq?

Bass has improved and become tighter than before. It helped me to reduce motor vibration.Play doh is a dead material if u throw it against a wall it doesn't bounce.it absorbs vibration which is good for TT.Someone suggested me on vinyl engine to use oil based clay.Play doh is water based and will harden and crack, and probably fall off.

Regards,

Sachin
