Problem:

64gb Flash drive



250gb Drive with 50gb of albums in folder in folders


When in windows 7 you drag the folder from the 250gb external to the 64gb

The folder goes over (it contains 50gb of music all in their respective folders)



When the transaction complete after 25 minutes


open the 50gb folder on the 64gb flash drive all the folders are there:

Minus the songs : grrrrrrr Why is this happening please.


Incidentally worth a mention : When i do this on the Imac it works perfectly

But push the flash drive into the usb on the lap top open it the lap top only sees the folders open them no songs

(i've done the hidden files thing i'm not a computer novice)

I tried everything Surfed extensively for the answer

The problem one faces : is you cant actually explain in google search engine what i written here and whats happening to get the answer to my question.


The question maybe I should be asking might be: What dose a 64gb flash drive support would it support 50gb of music.

Does none of the folders have songs or only few of the folders do not have songs?

Whats the make and model of the usb drive?

Fake usb drives which are masked to show larger capacities are rampant in market. When you try to add more than the data it can "technically" hold errors like this happen.

First verify and make sure that the usb drive actually has 64 gb capacity.
