Confused between Toshiba 40PU200/40PS200/40PS20

I've decided to buy a basic LED TV, don't want all SMART features, 3D, etc..

Decided to go for Toshiba as the prices are low, good picture quality and feature set. But I'm confused between the three versions of the 40" set.

40PU200
40PS200
40PS20

I have compared all of them and found minimal differences (video engine and connectivity options, etc)

If price is not an issue, which of the TV is better than the others ??

Also, any other TV (of any brand), that comes to mind, which gives much better performance than those at the same or minimal price difference ?

PS20. The only parameter could be slim bezel without visible speakers.

Toshiba are VFM. go for it. I don't think any other brand gives better overall performance in this price range. confirm if you are getting 3 years warranty coverage.

Sorry for the late reply. Any good dealers which are selling 40PS20 ? I approached Bajaj and TMC, both say PS20 is not being sold. Go for PS200.

Any good toshiba dealers in Hyderabad ?

I am not sure about Hyderabad. But many resellers should be having it.
Its unfortunate that Toshiba rarely updates their India website unlike other brands. and strangely I could not find many states listing under where to buy. but I am sure they are.
Also few models are outdated now which are still listed on web site.
Vijay sales, croma or reliance digital might have them.
or simply call toshiba's Toll Free No.'s 1800 200 8674 / 1800 11 8674 (got from web site) and ask them. At least they should direct you.

About the PS20, what is the main advantage when compared to others ? As the only difference I could find was it's an edge-lit TV with a different video engine (is this responsible for the superior PQ) ?

Meta brain engine in ps20 is newer than others with regza engine. Theoretically it should be better but practically it will be hard to differentiate. There are various components in a tv which together makes pq better like panel quality, contrast, refresh rate etc.

In short if you are getting PS20, go for it but don't restrict yourself. You may get any better newer model as well. I got 46 3d VL20 after very very hard search and it was the only last piece available luckily.

Well that's the trick I played. You may get a good discount when the product is at the end of the promotion life as dealers try to clear their stocks.

I got it for ~61k including 1 3d glasses in feb. But as I mentioned, really tried hard to get this model (was interested in this model only) and negotiated lot. PQ is just amazing.

It's getting very difficult to find this TV ! Not available anywhere online/offline.

Tried Reliance, they said buy Vu TV !!
Tried Adishwar, they said TV is available in market, but they don't keep it nor will they buy it for us.
Tried Croma, not available.

Any other Toshiba dealers in Hyderabad ?

I should have bought it when it was available for Rs 37K online

Would also like to know about the PQ and sound and connectivity through WIFI as well as Laptop or Computer or Mobile phones....

I hope I am not bothering you but it's just that i am too inquisitive due the features bundled together and have not been able to see through my eyes as its not available anywhere near.

well TL20 is the very nice for sound and 3d. But are you getting that model? because its old model now..(last year) also it is not a smart model.

I would suggest go for 47RW1 as its very cheap now with passive 3d. so any goggles would work. Its also very nice TV btw.
