Connected STB to TV via HDMI. Channel change takes upto 6 sec!!!!!

My PHILIPS LCD TV is connected to (Hathway) STB via HDMI (1.4a cable).

What surprises me, when up/down arrows are pressed to change the channel,
it takes 5 to 6 sec for the picture to come up, though the banner in the bottom appears immediately.

Just FYI, for regular TV mode (RF i/p), the picture pops up in about 2 sec, and in AV mode (composite video - i.e. Yellow/Red/White cable connection), it takes 3 to 4 sec.

Now, why it takes longest for HDMI? Is it something to do with the interface?
Or something else?

There must be some firmware issue with the STB. Call a technician

Just to add, the TV (Philips 32PF7321) is not full HD. It accepts 1080i though, so, I have put the STB in 1080i.

My Airtel takes upto 4 secs.

HATHWAY STB

I find this 5-6 sec delay only if I put the TV in HDMI mode. AV and normal TV mode (RF) are faster in that order.

Its the problem with Hathway STB not TV
