Connecting LAPTOP to an AVR

Is it possible to connect LAPTOP to AVR ? Instead of media player like nvidia shield tv pro can we use laptop and stream movies. Whats the best way to play 4k or Full HD content from online streaming platforms using AVR? Please Help!

Requirement 1: This is what I would like do: Download content in LAPTOP- Using this- Get the VIDEO on TV and AUDIO through AVR.

Requirement 2: Playing the online streaming in 4k or full HD from platforms like netflix and prime

1. If your laptop has HDMI out and supports 4k, then you can connect your laptop to one of the HDMI in of the AVR. Using this your AVR will get both video and audio from the HDMI out of your laptop
2. Your avr must be having one HDMI out. You can connect this to one of the HDMI input on the TV.

That's it if the above two conditions are met
