Connecting speakers to lw4500 LG

Hello Friends ,
I own a LG lw4500 Led 3d tv .
I also have a Settop box .
When i connect my F&D Hometheatre to the TV , i can hear it on my hometheatre speakers , but if i play some USB drive the sound comes out from the TV speakers and not from the Hometheatre speakers .
Please help me out !

How do you connect to Home Theatre? Is it stereo Output? It has only two channels. Its not 5.1 enabled I think.

Btw, what the set top box is used for with this 3D tv? Where do you get such SBS format 3D video torrents to watch on this tv?
