I have my old LCD TV whose HDMI ports aren't working ( it's costing a bomb to get it replaced , Sony asking 8K ), instead of repairing it , I want ot know if there are converters for HDMI that helps me in connecting to old TV.

thanks in advance.

If you are talking about Xbox One then you are out of luck cause component carries analog signal and HDMI carries digital so you would need a Convertor Box which are expensive. Do not buy those HDMI to component cable they will not work without convertor box. If you are talking about xbox 360 then you can use component cable that comes with the Xbox 360 package.

You are out of luck convertor boxes are expensive may or may out introduce input lag, glitchy display it's simply not worth it. HDMI ports are usually situated on a different PCB other than the motherboard, why is it costing so much, have tried contacting Sony care itself and asking the price.

Yes, I did contact authorized Sony service centre , mine is HD ready TV ( not full HD ), they are saying it might cost 8K . TV has 2 HDMI interface, both doesn't work

I dont want to be rude but you should think about upgrading to FULL HD Tv now. Its pointless spending 8k for HDMI port on an older Tv. say even if you repaired but the next day panel goes off.
In 8k you can get 22 inch monitor 1080P with HDMI if you are short on budget for the time being.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
