Inputs in the speaker seems like analog. Please connect those input cables to AUX to hear audio. Please bear in mind AUX is just stereo. But the speaker might have some mode to play in all speakers.

To get a true 5.1 surround you will have to use some converters.

Please look at similar thread posted recently.

You can use a coaxial to rca converter which is available in different qualities from amazon.

Which 5.1 system do you have? Can you check whether the TV gives out 5.1 signal via its Optical? Maybe a link to that page in the manual would be helpful. Usually, TVs downsample to Stereo and output the signal.

You will need a Digital to 5.1 analog converter. There are a number of them on Amazon which take HDMI input and give out 5.1 analogs. The thread linked above should have the amazon links to such devices.

Use the aux input. Your tv should have these outputs. If not you can use headphone out and connect to these. You can get these wires easily on Amazon.
