Hi,

I am new here but over the past 4 days, I have heard a lot of systems. I need help to decide between two systems that two different vendors are proposing.

1) Polk RTIA7, CSI A6, FXI A6, SUB - DSW PRO 660 with Denon 2311
2) Dali entry level system 5.1 (model no I will find out today, retail price is 2 lacs for all speakers) with Denon 1912

Room size is 25 x 15 and
home theatre for movies only

I see that they have proposed different amps for different speakers but thier logic was that since the dalis are more powerful u can do with a smaller amp. I found that hard to believe but not sure..
Please guide me about this, I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks

While one can identify differences between the brands you have noted, it will not make sense unless you are satisfied personally.

Take your favourite music in the format you listen to mostly. buy the one that sounds good to your ears after auditioning. Spend as much time as possible and try to keep the sources and other components similar (atleast same family and closest model nos.) if not the same.

^^^Yes take your own content, or else listen to the same content for every system. In that way u may find it better....

Dali ikon series speakers require more air to breath. It requires large room. In relatively small room go for zensor series

Dali entry level means the Zensor line, they are in my opinion quite superior to Polk RTi series.
Yamaha + Dali and Marantz + Dali are very good combinations. Even then before you decide should hear all possible options and choose the one you like the best. There is no alternative to you hearing the systems yourself.

It's a five year old thread guys

While choosing the speakers to match with Maranz 6005 recently I auditioned lot of fs and bs speakers i.e monitor audio, tannoy, sonodyne ect. But in my opinion Dali Z-3 is clear winner. The sweetness and details is amazing for just 32 k.

Thanks

I had the Polk rti A1, no comparison to the current Dali zensor 3 I have. Then of course, the Dali cost twice as much as the Polk. In the given price of the RTIA1, absolute clear winner. I loved them for the build quality in that price bracket.
