Sorry if this question has been asked before in this forum but I am asking this because I think majority of the members have not taken into consideration the fact that optical disc players no matter how costly barely last 2-3 years. Over a period of time the lens starts to degrade and finally it has to be thrown away.. Repair is costly and unreliable.
To cut my own story , I am still planning to purchase a DVD / BD player ( upto 7-8k budget) for my LG LED tv and ONKYO HTS 3400 AVR. My primary requirement are
1) It should be able to play a large number of audio ( mp3 , wav , cda , flac) and video formats ( avi , dat , mp3 , mkv) both from the optical disc and USB port.
2) It should be able to support HD content.
3) If possible have mic support.. I think the ONKYO AVR does not have mic support.
4) Playing muti-region DVDs.
Looking for suggestion !!
