Denon 1311 AVR available at Alfa (Mumbai) for Rs.17,500 WITHOUT bill/ waranty. Not sure if it's a good deal, seems attractive to me at least.

Thats a very good price as long as it is sealed box,so did you also ask abt the price of 1611? Shouldn't be much more but very tempting

I asked him if he wud sell only the receiver and was denied...

the amp is good enough, but the speaker package isn't. you need to change the fronts to bigger BS or FS.

Contact Uniqsys in Whitefield Main Road . Nice guy and good pricing. AM pretty sure he can give the 1311 at aroun 18500 atleast! (with B&W)
Profx bangalore has offered me 1611 at 24900 and 1311 and 18,900.

considering AVR 1311 is for 18k, you are paying 12.9k for NS-P285
JBL SCS-140BK is available for 11k locally, that means u are paying 23.9k for the receiver
not a great deal on the combos
