Hi there,

I have a denon and when i turn it on it always sounds hissing on the speakers, then as time passes by it dissapears except on my left surround speaker. Do you know how to fix it or if this is a common problem?

Thanks.
Best,
Tyler

I hv a 1910 and it doesn't have this problem. If it isn't under warranty it is best to check with authorised service centres

Another user having problem with Denon 1612!

You will be interested in this thread - http://www.hifivision.com/surround-amplifiers-receivers/46081-denon-avr-aka-piece-crap.html

I had the same hissing problem, I think it is a problem with the hdmi board. What I did was to completely remove the boards and clean them using lcd monitor liquid cleaner and let it dry for a few minutes under sunlight. You can try isopropyle alcohol/petrol for cleaning the board. And, never buy a Denon AVR again!

And cleaning worked it out?
Do you have a guide or disassembling is easy?
By the way, i want to buy another amp, what do you recommend?

Cleaning does seem to resolve the issue in my case.

Removing the board is easy, remove the avr top cover, remove the data cables connected to the hdmi board, then remove all the screws of the hdmi board at the back of the avr. After this you can easily remove the board.

Before cleaning or removing the board, try removing the data cables connected to the hdmi board, then connect after a few minutes. This may clear the problem sometimes.

I don't know what avr options are available in your location, but Yamaha seems to be good.

cleaning all the amp didn't fix it, neither resetting.
I spent 3 hours disassembling, cleaning and drying for nothing!
