DENON/MARANTZ/B&W and many others to be treated as a 'Discontinued Business' by owner. Should one still buy?

Sound United ( owner of brands like Denon, Marantz , B&W and many others) is owned by Masimo . There were various rumours about Sound United under Masimo. Finally, Masimo has confirmed this in their financial results call last night. https://www.tradingview.com/news/re...business-will-be-classified-as-held-for-sale/
Is this confirmed/
Not too sure what implications this has but essentially Sound United is going to be sold. So what implications does this have for those who own or looking to buy these products - availability, new models, service and spares, warranty etc? I reached out to the India Distributor and they were unaware of the above news and said it was speculation. So shared the link etc with them and awaiting their revert.
Does anyone have any insight on this and whether it is worth buying a Denon AVR right now? I am evaluating the x3800H

Just buy your Denon X3800H & enjoy. SU will get a new owner eventually which is happening with audio brands since years.

Denon has 2 distributors in India so don't worry, buy & enjoy.

Cheers..

Question is regarding product/software update. Due to Masimo takeover ; there has been no x900h series launch since 3 years. A new owner will take their own time arriving at strategy forward. Doubt whether Dirac Live Bass correction will be available on x3800h ....... plus concerns on spare parts and service in the long term.....

Regardless of who owns these brands, the service in India will be sub-par like every other item's after sales service, or even worse - non existent service. So if you like the x3800h ( I have the 3700h which had a power board failure after 2 yrs and perhaps 200 hours of use, and I paid to get it fixed - as warranty is 1 year), go ahead and get/enjoy it, without expecting too much of a support either from the dealer/distributor or the manufacturer. It it serves you trouble free for 3 years, then you are all set - most of the current av receivers have this type of a typical working life, which is planned obsolesce, like cell phones, computers etc. If not, then you have to plan some for some further maintenance funds/or upgrade to next model. Not to sound cynical - but that has been my practical experience.
Cheers,
Sid

Is this the reason, that Denon have been removed from most of the online listing (other than pro-fx ) ?
Profix is distributor. Profx and ptc shated list of unauthorized resellers I think. Beware not to purchase from the firms in the list

I was thinking of getting a Denon AVR. Now this uncertainty has dampened my plans. Unfortunately this trend seems very prevalent across the Audio Industry, which is a bummer.
