I came across the profx site with online booking for a Denon PMA-510ae @ 16900. I think the same was being quoted at 19900 after discount for christmas at their store. Does the price looks good as I am going to pair it with my Yamaha floorstanders (NS-F140) as of now and will get some good book shelve speakers + stands 6 months down the line.

Thanks

Ok I took another round of audition at Profx MG Road and finally purchased it @16.9k. Got the amplifier yesterday delivered and I have now connected to my Yamaha NS-F140 floor standers. The source being music-pc + ODAC. The music is nice :clapping: far better than my Yamaha 571 receiver. But I did not get the same kind of lively feeling when I auditioned with Polk TSi 300/400 at Profx. I think my speakers are the loose link in the chain. Will change these sometime 6 months down the line.

Thanks

Congrats manniraj, yes speakers are nothe best match I think.Polk,Kef can match very well with Denon & Yamaha too.It will sound bigger then.

With just at @ 10 o'clock position the Denon is sounding full and clear.
How about the wharfedales any particular model of FS sound good with Denon & Yamaha so that I can connect with the Denon as well as my yamaha receiver use it for both music/movies one at any point of time.

Thanks

I have a similar Denon amp - I paired it with both the Wharf 9.5 and the 9.6 and also had a Klipsch BS connected concurrently. ( A+B) They went very well according to MY ears.....

I hardly ever went beyond the 9 OClock volume posistion on the dial, unless I had the house to myself and had on Pink or Purple playing :)
You should try taking your amp and ask it to be hooked up with the speaker of your choice.
