Hi friends,
I recently acquired a vintage Pioneer SX434 Integrated amp. This is currently doing duty as my phonostage & for FM listenings. The set is in near mint condition with everything working perfectly and cosmetic condition is great.
Though, there is one irritant.
At times, not often but seldom, there would be some disturbance in the left channel. THis disturbance is like a sound which comes if you touch the hot wires of a cassette stereo head, though much lower in sound. THis happens just for a fraction of a second & will repeat after indefinite time. Also this sound is irrespective of the volume & will also come if the volume is turned down to nil. Doesnt increase or decrease with volume.
I opened the panel covers ( both up & down) and there are no signs of repair & things are pretty clean considering the age of the receiver.
Please comment on this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks & regards,
Saket
