I recently purchased an LG TV and when I asked which stabilizer should I be using for it, the dealer did not reply. Delhi has almost steady supply but as a precautionary measure I inserted a spike protector (old, having twin ferrite cored coils plus ceramic capacitors). Earlier, I had a 4kva auto stabilizer for full house, but even at 220v it supplied 10 v less, resulting in slow fan speeds. It burnt out last week, and now I am wondering what to go for. (Also, that stabilizer belt fumes out, blackening the wall). Other ACs have their own stabilizers so not sure what should I go about. Any ideas?

Technically, no. Especially for the relatively modern equipment these days.
However, if you must really want to go down the rabbit hole, here's a start.

Every five to ten years there will be a situation especially in India when you will think that extra layer of protection would have helped.

Until & unless your area has fluctuation problem....

Used whirpool fridge with no stab for 5 years. Also using a Sony 43 inch tv in hall with no stab.

For tv you can use a simple vguard. Fridge nothing needed. Most modern fridges have it built it.
