Do we get Warranty if we purchase the Home Theater Online?

Hi All,

Recently i have booked a Home Theater Speaker System Pioneer AJ5237zt online through snap deal which mentioned that it has 1 year warranty, but when i enquired with Pioneer head office today they told that they will not provide warranty which was purchased online. Warranty will be covered only for the products purchased through there authorized dealers or from Pioneer Website. What to do now? please suggest :sad:
 
You can either get in touch directly with the seller, and ask him, if the product is original he can probably get you in touch with someone who can assure you of a warranty.

The problem online products is this that since they are short selling, manufacturers rarely provide warranties since it is impacting their sales at the dealership. Maybe this is a practice they are imbibing to discourage online sale of their products.
 
Hey Kumar, have you received the speakers? Please let me know if there is any issue after receiveing, I also want to buy these speakers.

Contacted Pioneer India Help Line they says they will cover warranty if its purchased through their authorised dealer, then i contacted snap deal they says they have 1 year warranty and they will provide invoice along with purchase, if pioneer doesnt provide warranty then we need to call snapdeal so they will provide replacement within 1 year if there is any pblm with the item, is what they have said but they have not given the contact details of seller when i asked to provide.
 
Not sure about Pioneer but I visited the Onkyo Showroom in the Form Value Mall Bangalore, I saw a big poster there stating that No Warranty for products bought online. It would be best if you contact the Manufacturer and ask them about it.
 
Pioneer will not provide any warranty for snapdeal purchase. Why Snapdeal is not revealing the seller name?. I do not trust Snapdeal's claim that it will take back within 1 year.
 
Thank you for the inputs :clapping:, the reason i looked online is of the price difference, when i enquired with a dealer in hyderabad he quoted 57500 final price for Pionner AJ5235xt 5.1 Speakers and he was quoting little bit more than 90k with receiver and installation . so was searching online for some good deals. Let me know if there is any best price for these speakers or is there any other good speakers than pioneer in the budget ........
 
Always check or email manufacturer before buying online.I saw same board with Yamaha service center.Some exclusive products can be bought with warranty on snapdeal.I remember a board in whathifi show Mumbai in Onkyo room saying available on snapdeal.
When asked,they(Onkyo company person) it is limited to very few products(certainly not AVR that time).
I gifted a Samsung galaxy grand max to my Mom which is not available in local market,but only snapdeal.So called Samsung support and email for record,both confirmed that warranty will be supported by Samsung India.

Yah i enquired with Pioneer Customer care they cleared that warranty will not be covered for online purchases but snap deal says yes it will cover warrant. Not sure about it

It simple,if AVR is imported and the seller is offering better price,we think of buying it.Some of the dealer's give their warranty and not company(Indian).Also there could be term from SD that dealer should provide warranty.So we see warranty support on website.Genuine dealer can service product locally at their cost.

Yes Snapdeal says same that they will provide bill & invoice from seller so no need to worry about warranty for 1 year if something happens they will replace. Also please let me know if there is any better price available for this either from dealer directly or from online Appreciate your response..... :clapping::clapping:

Best thing is to check if seller is within your City so that follow up can be done properly.Risk will be always there but you may some on cost too.;)

No the Seller is from Mumbai, im in hyderabad. But the dealer in hyderabad quoting 57500 for the same speakers :sad:

If speakers are received in perfect condition and used carefully,you may not need warranty.I have used few pair of speaker,but fortunately never need to send them back.If speakers get damaged in shipping,you have to inform SD within 24hr.Best that take un-boxing video for proof.:)

Yes Anyways if we purchase from SD they give 7 days return policy, are there any other good speakers below 50k?
 
One more thing to add,I bought a Hertz component system from SD few months back for better price than market.Also I got free installation doorstep as promised by SD on site.
