Does anyone have a spare wall-mount bracket for Sony W series?

Hi. I recently bought a 42 incher W 674 series from Bangkok.

The Thai version doesnt come with the wall mount. And Sony India doesnt even sell wall mounts unless the TV is bought in India.

I was gonna buy from the open market but then I thought checking on this forum might be a good idea!

Does anyone have a mount to spare? Perhaps someone who has bought a W series but is using it table-top?

The table top stand of Sony KDL-42W674 can also be used for wall mounting the TV, the TV's manual has instructions on how to do this.

i understand sony has tied up with some vendors to do wall mount installations.

you can put in some efforts to reach the sony vendor in your city and convince them to sell one wall mount bracket to you.

this is what i did for wall mounting of my 42 inch tv which was bought from bangkok.

Correct but it still needs a bracket which is to be hammered into the wall. I am looking for that bracket

Tono sells compatible wall mounts. You'll get one for 1500 bucks.

There is a shop in Chennai Richie street, Jenefas and Jenefas they make all kinds of brackets and stands. They manufacture wall mounts specifically for Sony home theatres. You can contact them.

which is sturdier and offers much more flxibility,mounting options

i just googled for some time and got some leads, i paid 2.5k including the installation.

Price was higher but i paid considering that sony india uses the same vender in bangalore and it was convenient for me. I dont have the contact details of vendor as of now.

I think good quality wall mount brackets are available for around 1200 to 1500.

Guys I checked out the wall mounts from Tono. They are this big huge thing that fits onto the TV and the wall.

But as mentioned above in this post, for the W series, the stand itself turns into the wall mount from the TV side.

I just need a bracket on the wall to hang it.

I just bought a 32" Sony W674 from Bangkok this week..
Need a wall mount bracket too.. and is it possible to have one which is not fixed but movable ?
I live in Kolkata so any guidance of place to get it / shop etc would be appreciated..
The stand with the tv can act as a wall mount !! wow.. didnt know that.. but anyway would need a bracket and better a movable mount..

Any guidance is appreciated..

This exact model is not available in India. Check for 670. Anyway the quality is superlative

Hi Tanmayj ....This Sony Kdl 42" .W 674A is already available here in India.Its already advertised on All EBAY.IN/OLX/QUIKRR for more than 3 weeks now & price quoted around for Rs. 48,000/.
But it is not possible to take demo or inspection because its available online only thats why i requested you to give detail review of this tv.I Live in Mumbai.I just wanted to Check Personly Before i make any dicission for buing but unable to find Tv in Mumbai.

Just place a request with sony for installation. Don't tell them that you bought the tv from Bangkok. The service engg. would call you before coming and tell him that you need the mount as well. At the most he might charge something extra.

Most of the LED/LCD follow VESA wall mounting interface standard and it not specific to company model. I think Sony also follows them. You can get VESA mounting brackets from PC/computer shop for around 1.5K.

I think they would be grey market 'dealer warranty' sets. Check sony.co.in. its available in India officially only if its listed on sony.co.in

In fact i received delivery yesterday of the set, it comes with a stand which doubles up as wall mount. And a 3 piece wall mount bracket was also inside the pack, now i need to figure out how to assemble the stand as wall bracket!
