I recently purchased Toshiba 32PU200. All good things aside, I am irked with the settings on this TV. After initial few days of purchase I switched off the "Dynamic Range Control" option to see how much it changes the sound quality. A few days and a few random remote clicks later, the option now is disabled(Shows as greyed and unable to select). And no matter what I try I am unable to enable it again.
I have not tried resetting TV settings, as I want to find the correct way to enable it again. And yes the manual is no use! Can some one help?

Did you call Toshiba Customer Service?

Aye. The first response was to reset the TV settings and check again. Second was straight out of the manual that the feature doesn't work on MPEG1 and MPEG2 audio inputs. I have tried it with tata sky, ps3 and usb media player. But neither seems to be enabling it. Is it that the feature works only on dolby audio? How do I check that?

@Prank Hifi.
You are correct. Manual says;
This feature allows control of compression for digital audio signal excluding those with MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 audio. I think it works when you use optical input only.
Have you tried it? Mine is also disabled although model is different.

I did manage to turn it on again. I used a movie file with dolby sound output & the option was enabled again. BRrip ideally should work. What I still don't get is how do you get info on what audio signal is being processed? For dolby , the dolby symbol is shown when loading the video file. Any clue? Would it not work with tata sky?
