I am in the market as well, looking for it (abandoned plan last year).
Another to consider is Samsung UA46F6100AR as well but unfortunately it is Active 3D.

Apart from that there is SONY kdl-50w800b as well which is a bit bigger but good.

Anyone has latest prices for these models in Bangalore.

Typical Usage: EPL during Weekends, Youtube HD during Weekdays + Game streaming from Mobile.

@bhprin,
Will check, my friend said he knows someone in Girias, will ask to check prices of this model.
But wanted to see if it can be bargained and asked for directly.
Also with Ugadi just a week away some offers/discount can be talked.

Oh good. However, I cannot buy within next 3 months. I am going to delhi for official work and back in 1.5 months...
also have you thought of buying online @snapdeal or ebay. However i have not heard only they can deliver used or defective items as well..
and LG says warrenty void if not from their online purchase....

.

But 50W800B is also active, isn't it?
Although, I have to admit, active 3d has come a long way, since the inception.
I was under the impression that the active 3d glasses are still the same. Big, bulky, heavy..etc..But the sony active glasses are as light as the passive ones and no flickering..
Maybe someday they will also have the clip ons for specs..

Oh it wasn't about Active vs Passive.
It was more to do with maddy's comment that Samsung unfortunately was Active 3D and then following it up with Sony W800B is good. So it would appear to someone that W800B is passive, when in fact it isn't.

Anyway, I'm in the market for passive 3d, myself, because me and all of my family members have glasses. :)

In terms of passive, I think the best one is the LG 6910, but Sony W850 has lower input lag.

@amul_capri, yes since SONY was always into Passive I had thought the same that it would be Passive as well.
Yes the SONY one is Active 3D, I had asked my friend in US to have a look and he said the glasses with Active aren't as heavy opposed to other ones in Market (his perspective).
And besides SONY has always been very good in most of the things and I expect the same here.

For me as of now SONY W800B is @ No1 spot in my choices.
