Hey guys

Finally managed to get hold of the new Epson 725 HD. Got it from the US for $549. Did not explore much and havent planned on the screen too as of now.

I am planning to have it projected on a plain white wall(painting work underway) till I get hold of a screen.

Did a crude projection on the wall and the first impression is that the projector is bright enough with good color reproduction and contrast ratio.

Being a first time projector user I have some basic questions to ask.

1. How do I scale down the picture size - say I want the projection within a given region? You would see a obstruction on the wall- the power panel (which shouldn't have been planned there!) So the projection needs to end just below that power panel.

My living room is about 20 ft in length and the wall you see there in the pic is about 9 ft wide. I obviously need room to place the speakers in the front and the speakers will be placed low at about 2.5-3 ft high.

How do I achieve this- do I need to mount the projector at the back wall ? Inverted ? Or should I just bother placing on a low level coffee table which might make it look less professional and appealing?

I will post some detailed impressions as I set it up and have it projected properly on the white wall.

Thanks!
