Just yesterday i have purchased Sony 40R482B from Reliance Digital.
They told me the benefits of taking ResQ extended warranty; how it is better than Sony's warranty as it covers damages related to power fluctuations. I ended up buying ResQ for 2years at 5139 rupees (after 25% discount on ~6800 rupees).
Today after googling for customer feedback, i see tons of negative feedback. Couldnt find 1 single positive feedback for ResQ.
I then searched for Sony service feedback - i see that in some cases, Sony India has replied to the negative feedback posted online and taken care of the issue with the owner.
So i called up Reliance and fought with them. They finally agreed to refund the 5000 rupees.
I am planning to buy Sony's extended warranty for 2 years which is priced at 5000 rupees for 40" TV.
Before i buy Sony's extended warranty, i would like to hear from you guys - is it advisable to go for extended warranty from Sony?
