Feedback about Samsung UA40D5000

Any feedback about Samsung UA40D5000( D series).
How is it different from Samsung UA40C5000.

I believe overall PQ should be similar with HOPEFULLY better picture processing, Smart Hub (better UI, better Internet Apps), and better motionflow.

Just got a 40d5000 and also own a 40c5000; 40d is lighter and build quality is slightly lower than 40c; but picture quality is much better and has added support for controlling it via phone (android phone app needed is samsung remote) which I'm using and working fine; Inputs have been removed like there is no separate inputs for av in and component in and they have been clubbed into 1 by a special cable i.e. only only either one can be used at a time, though I'm using only hdmi which it has 4; so overall I feel it is a better package than 40c due to the enhanced clarity specially of hd and full hd content.

Could you check what is the panel version of the D5000. Just curious if they are still shipping the CN version panels.

Well samsung can use other panels apart from the CN,SQ,AA.Then can use sharp panels and chilin panels.

Oh, they generally mentioned it below the Serial#

Its mentioned in the back mostly located on the edges.Samsung India does not mention them on the box.
Today i checked the 40D5500 it had a AA01 panel.

I have also purchased a UA40D5000PRXXT (Made in Thailand,, Mfg. Date Mar 2011); Version No. (Panel Type, u can say) is AA02 as printed on back of TV along with serial no.

Its a fantastic TV and as I also own a UA40C5000, sharpness of HD content is much enhanced in this set...

I own the Samsung UA40D5000 LED and have to say that in A- B comparsion with Samsung/ Sony LCD/LED's, I liked the Samsung LED as 'Blacks' were deeper and 'Whites' were cleaner as compared to those washing powder advertisements of white Vs dull white shirts. I honestly mean it!
