I am on the lookout for speaker stands. Will need 2 pairs.
Pair 1 needed for KEF R300s (210mm x 345mm footprint)
Pair 2 needed for B&W DM303s (201mm x 242mm footprint)

Came across this product.
Tono HF-B101 - Bookshelf Speaker Stands | India
Anybody on the forum using these stands?
Listed at Rs. 9,500 a pair on the website.
Speaker base plate is 165mm x 275mm; maybe OK for DM303s but seem small for R300s.

I am willing to explore DIY wooden stands too if they are the right match. Carpentry is my other passion.

Cheers,
Raghu

I own this speaker stand for over 2 years and it is supporting my KEF Q300 solidly
I is well built and doesn't have any resonance problem. The top base plate of the stand need not to be as big or bigger than the speakers - my KEFs are 20% bigger than the plate still they sit solidly.

For Indian homes which doesn't have wooden flooring and heavy carpeting like west , metal stand with Spiked isolators like that with Tono are best suited. Rest is left with the aesthetic and ambiance of the room

@ujjwaana

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know much about stands. Looks wise they will fit in with the decor of the rest of the room. The KEF R300 that I will be getting are piano black. My floor is tiled, so this is also answered.

Good to know that the speaker plate need not the same size as speaker footprint.
Did you have to fill any sand to get the weight and/or tonal balance?
Did you purchase in store or online?

Thanks,
Raghu

@efernand1

Thanks for the feedback and alternate suggestion.
Looks like I missed the group buy that recently happened by a whisker.

Cheers,
Raghu

same stand as discussed by the OP here
Opal - SoundFoundations

27.5 inches tall
6.75 inch wide by 9 inch deep top plate

also note to the gentleman who has adviced a top plate larger than the speaker
Dear sir : international normal standard among most stand manufactureres is a 6*8 inch topplate
All assume that speaker overhanging by 1 inches on the sides ( left right ) and overhanging 2-3 inches front and rear - is pretty normal

Even an OEM B&W stand allows overhang for its specific speaker at 1.25 inch all sides

Thanks Naturelover. Will ping magma soon.
Let me get my new speakers and do some initial placement for HT. Need to get an idea of how tall prospective stands need to be for L/R and SL/SR.

Cheers,
Raghu
