None of the festive offers are really tempting. There may be one in hundred who may find one offer useful but for the rest not much. Almost all offers are bundles and free gifts of some kind and usually these are non-selling SKUs.

All Diwali offers are rubbish, instead of these stupid offers, they should give some cashback discount or provide some added value like 2-3yr warranty extension.

"It" never happens because then no one would buy TVs (or other items) rest of the year. In Diwali and other festive times, people are more willing to splurge on shopping and hence there are "assured gifts" to lure people in shops. If there are 10 footfalls, at least 1 makes a purchase.
 
Feel good now that I didn't wait for Diwali to buy the tv.

The only good offer I saw was at Croma. Samsung 43e490 festival price @ 42K, it was around 48-49K in Bangalore few months back.
 
I didn't buy this set, I bought a LG LCD 42LK450 @ 37K months back. And I don't know how many 3D glasses are they offering with 43e490 now.
 
The LG 3D TV Diwali offer and Sony bundle offers seem to the best. Samsung link is showing "not found" - is the celebration already over?
 
Actually, the Diwali offers are good if you want to build up some collection of gadgets, not really useful if you just want to save some money. So, it is a good deal in the sense that you get more for probably the same expenditure - provided you know what you want. For example, the LG 3D TV offer comes with a free 3D enabled BD player - which is a good combo if you really want a 3D TV.
 
The LG 3D TV Diwali offer is quite attractive - if only I had saved some money in the preceding months, I would have bought it! Seems like I will have to wait a few more months!
