Filters for difference sections of the forum

Is there a way to filter out new posts from sub-forums? For eg, I don't have any interest in the TV section of HFV. Can I customize it so that I only see posts from certain sub-forums like Speakers, Amplifiers and Phono/Turntables?

I have requested this in some "Need more mods" thread, but nothing happened. Some other forums provide this functionality, but hfv does not. Dont know if its due to software in use or the configuration setup. The option is in your profile where only new posts from the selected sections are shown.

Frankly speaking, I have more interest in General chit chat section (which is not shown in new posts link) than in TV section. Now a days many times when I am short on time, I just goto the diy forum directly for new posts rather than clicking on New threads links where I do see tons and tons of crap.

I have shared this with the SuperMod, guess will have to wait to see if its possible.

The super mod is checking the technical feasibility as it aint a plug 'n' play . if its possible without much hazzle, we will enable it.

This may be needed because if I reply to one post other day & another FM ask a question to me,there is possibility that I miss that particular thread next day.So my answer is awaited or delayed a lot.
New post filter is handy,but I may forget thread title I responded last time due to many other posts.
