I'm not able to update firmware for my television.I tried via wifi route and also downloaded file from sony asia which is applicable to my tv and copied to usb .both are not successful. Any ideas from FMS.

I am assuming that you downloaded the correct file for your TV and that the firmware version is greater than the one on the TV. Else there will be no update.

Copy the firmware file to USB in the root directory. Switch off the TV. Plug in the USB and then start the TV. The firmware file will be detected. At least this is how it worked for my Panasonic TV.

Yes Justkix i checked and downloaded the correct file from site , which is newer than my old file , it keep on saying copying update files for more than 40 mins nothing happens.

Use the USB drive i would suggest you to format it in a FAT format rather then NTFS.

If the USB drive is slow it can take a long time to update it.Also disable or switch off the wifi router during the update.

In my 2011 CX520 it took about 20min to update the firmware which was a file size of 60mb.
Your firmware is around 190mb so be patient.

Alternatively you could factory reset your w900 and check for firmware updates via wifi and directly upgrade. Works in my w950.

Ya thx all. I have updated my firmware today morning through wifi router it is upto date now.Updated within 10 mins.May be usb it takes time.Based on the internet speed also it lags i think. any way thx FMs.
