First HTS..budget 50k.. Please Help!!

Hi Guys!

I need to make a pretty quick decision here, and I really need some help as its my first system!

Room size: 16x11
Budget: upto and Not exceeding 50k
City/shops: Pune/Mumbai/online: You suggest!
Criterion: Natural, excellent quality sound clear even at low volumes

Going through a lot of threads on similar topics I've come to find majorly 3 AVRs:
Marantz and Denon 1312 and 1612. I have no idea which one is good still.
I'm open to 7.1 receivers as I have some decent Philips large speakers(really old) to plug along

Speaker package:
Preferably wall mounted, from whatever I've read: Polkaudio, Jamo, Boston Acoustics, Onkyo and Wharfedale all are very good, help me choose!

I would like to decide before the 18th as I am planning a Mumbai trip, where I've heard systems are cheaper...so please let me know the shops as well!

There are some great offers available in HiFiMart in and around 50K. India's audio video home theatre and hi-fi shopping mart

Strike out Denon 1312. It is a very basic one. Go for Denon 1612 instead.

Thanks Baijuxavior...I'll look at 1612. Your opinion with Marantz 1402?
Also will I get a good 5.1 speaker package at around 21k given that the denon will set me back around 29k?

The boston acoustics soundware xs5.1 is available for just 24K in HiFiMart. It is a highly acclaimed speaker system. I bought Denon 1612 for 27.5K last year. 29K is not the final price. You should bargain. There are some combo offers available with xs5.1. Marantz NR1501 Slimline 7.1 AV Receiver

Marants 1501 is 7.1 with hd audio support. But it has only 50W per channel compared to the 75W of Denon 1612. Also specs say it supports only hdmi 1.3a. So no 3D support (1.4a). It has only 3hdmi inputs.

Here is the comparison between Yamaha RX-V471 and Denon AVR-1612.
You can go ahead with any one of these. You can get denon price in other posts. Yamaha price is here.

I think, Boston Acoustics SoundWare XS blends better with Yamaha. However, I did not take audition personally with this combination.

+1 to baiju.........boston acoustics XS 5.1 is indeed a very good speaker system and now available for unbelievable price.

I think these should make among the best 5.1 combinations within a 45-55k range

1. Marantz 1402 22k range
2. Denon 1611/2 27k range

I heard Marantz perform better for music, Denon for movies and that Denon has more features...any comments before I can choose? Thanks!

1. Boston Acoustics XS 5.1 24k

2. Energy TC 5.1 (Much wanted...please let me know if they're available for a price under 30k!!) I know indiatimes sells for 35k...but I heard you can get them for 25?

3. Pioneer SP PK21BS 5.1 If anyone bought them, please tell me the quoted price, dealer name and contact, it would be much appreciated!!

For the Pioneer you can contact Avenue Sounds - they can import it for you from the US and they also give a 1 yr dealer warranty. They also have an online shop but these would not be listed on their site.

Which part of Mumbai are u visiting, accordingly will suggest shops to visit for audition
U should also consider polk audio and jamo speakers
