FM not working in Mitashi home theatre

Hi, I have a Mitashi 5.1 Ch multipurpose speaker PH 106FU, which delivers great music from multiple sources. Plays USB and SDCard for Mp3/wam. Has Aux in, DVD 5.1 in, and FM. However after 8 months of use, FM apparently stopped working. So I took it to Reliance digital (where I bought it) ResQ workshop. To my surprise, there it was working !. The service person told me to change the place of it bcoz, FM signal might be weak where i currently placed it. However, no result when I come back home it doesnt work even if i change the place & put it on window side, open place {before it was working at any place in my house}. But my mobile phone fm captures signals anywhere at home :-(. bit disappointed abt it, but still other functions of speaker still are working gr8. I took it to my friend's home in the 4th floor of the same appartment (having 5 floors, mine is at the 1st floor). There the FM signal reception is found to be better than my home only at the window side/open space but it is still weak and has lot if disturbance. Though this is not a big problem, it's bit annoying and i wouldve been delighted by it's performance otherwise!!!. I WONDER HOW THE SIGNAL HAS BEEN DROPPER SUDDENLY? OR if the hardware inside the system itself became weak or faluty after usage for some time?. Experts, pls post if it is possibly by any hardware fault? replacement of antenna or any component would work??? Pls let me know. VERY IMPORTANT THAT- MY SYSTEM's WARRANTY ( 1 year) GETS OVER in another 3 weeks!!!!. I NEED TO TAKE IT TO MITASHI SERVICE CENTRE NEXT WEEK.

It seems telescopic antenna or antenna RF amplifier (if any) gone bad or loose connection. Or did you buy any new electrical equipment/lamp etc? Wiring change? loose earthing can increase radiation from individual electrical equipments. Start checking from radio, setup and go to equipments ....

Thanks Omishra for the technical information. I didn't buy any new equipments and wiring is not changed after I occupied the house. In the same set up it was working excellent for 7-8 months and more recenlty it stopped working. So, it's clear that some component has gone weak (I cant say that it's gone bad, coz it works when i take somewhere outside my house) . But i can't prove that in their service centre :-( since there it works fine. so I doubt if they agree to replace any component under warranty as they can't find it faulty!.

Ask the service guys to visit your place and show the fault there.

Thanks. Yes, my doubt was right. It was faulty. I gave it in service centre (on 10th sept) with the fm complaint. They just called me saying they have replaced the faulty FM board and made it work. I am yet to collect the box from there. Will post once i verify if it works at home. Thanks.

It works fine now in any corener of my house. My first experience with Mitashi service wasn't disappointing.
