Full HD LED TV..Big Screen < 65k!

Hi all!

I am glad that I found this website. Full of valuable information which helped me understand certain nitty-gritties of HDTVs.

I would value your suggestions regarding my potential purchase.

Requirement: A big ass screen with good PQ and hard drive compatible USB playback of all popular video formats. No need for 3D. Smart is fine!

What will I use it for: PS3 (mostly FIFA 14, GTA V), News (Arnab Goswami), Sports (Cricket and occasional football)

Budget: As less as possible. Ready to go up to 65k.

What I have in mind: 1. Panasonic 42E6D, 2. Sony 42W670A, 3. Toshiba 46PX200

What would you suggest from the above? Also, any other recommendations?

You may also consider some 50 inches LED models.... Panasonic 47E5D, Philips 50PFL4758, Panasonic 50B6D, Toshiba 50L2300 around 65K mark....

You may also consider Samsung 51F4900 Plasma @ 62K with Acvtive 3D but no smart.....It has only HD resolution 1024 x 768... But at a distance of 10 feet you may not notice difference bet 720p Vs 1080P...BTW this tv plays most of the video formats & in addition to that decodes both DD & DTS....

The Panasonic is excellent and much praised on the forum as well. It does support wireless keyboard and at least 1 TB HDD but does not have bluetooth.

Viewing distance should be around 10 feet. I believe it might just be ok for a 42 inch TV. Am I right?

If your viewing is more of HD then you can go for 50/51" else 42" will be fine. The Panasonic E6D may not be your best bet for gaming, though. A Plasma or an LED with an IPS panel will probably be better. This is from net surfing only. I have no experience with gaming.

go the nearest store, try the 42/43 incher & 50/51 incher from a distance of approx 10 feet.... According to me 50 inches is ideal for 10ft distance..

If you feel 40/42/43 inches ie perfect for your distance, you may check the Samsung 43F4900 Plasma as well..
