Google Nexus 7c - How to stream movies on TV

I have Google Nexus 7c tablet and would like to play downloaded movies on a flat screen TV (not smart TV). What are the options available? I also have an Apple TV for iOS devices. Would like to know how to play from Android devices. Please help.

Well if you do not have a SMART TV, then your options are quite limited.

You will need to have an interface device which would add one of the following functionality :
1. DLNA support on the TV
2. Youtube Streaming Support (You can stream videos on your TV through youtube, navigate through the Nexus Tab)
3. Central sharing apps like Plex or XBMC might also work.

Like i said, everything requires some sort of an interface wither through the network or the internet.

Simplest would be chromecast, or any android tv stick with cheapcast installed in it!

Chromecast, as I understand is still unable to play downloaded movies. Whereas you can play from YouTube etc.
Praful, Please suggest a good Dongle to use with my current TV.

^ realplayer cloud or another player called avia can stream to chromecast... Havent tried em personally !
