42GT20 plasma will cost you approx 80k or less i think.

Ive seen this plasma and the 3D was better than any LCD i've seen but 42" is very small for 3D experience.

Panasonic has the best 3D implementation in the current TVs. Everything else has way too much crosstalk which ruins the experience.

^ IMO 42 inch is may be small for 3D and price of 3d is not revealed yet .. It may be expensive. But no matter what others say the black levels are really good in PAnny TVs... :clapping:

I disagree!!

I have just bought a 46HX800. After much dilly dallying and comparisons, this was my final choice. The final cost to me was Rs.1,11,000/- with all the accessories ( S470 3D blu ray player, 2 glasses, 9 titles and simple wall-mount and installation by Sony). I did not take the Airtel connection and got it deducted.

I am pretty satisfied with the TV. Infact I may say that none, except perhaps the VT/GT20, can match the Sony in 3D as of now. But I was not sure how these Plasmas would stay after 5-6 years or so.

In looks and 2D - Samsung 8000 and even the LG 9500 may be better, but not by a large margin, or noticeable to a general person! (I think

Do try to compare them in your room setting conditions, and do keep in mind what you want (not just what the salesman says or promises).

What I say is that SONY's HX800 model is not that gud in 3-D images and there is the reason whenever u watch it from 45 degree angle or less so the 3D effects getting lesser. But in black levels and picture quality, this TV is excellent, no doubt and the 3D thing which I've said here is said in the reviews. I myself was interested in this TV but after reading reviews on it's 3-D viewing angle so I didn't buy it.

In fact, for a good 3-D experience, U need the largest such TV that U can buy. Even 46" feels like looking in an aquarium, or looking through a window!! But how large a set can we buy finally, for something which is still a niche!!
