HAM Radio - Introduction & Training

Hi Folks,

I happen to learn about a free HAM Radio / Amatuer Radio Training organised during weekends in Chennai City . It is a non Montenary & voluntary effort by few of the HAM Members in Chennai.

There are 20 seats available so far and 11 is already taken. Training is for 10 weeks from 3-6 PM starting from 18 August onwards near Alwarpet E-Zone (Luz Church Road).

Hi Ravindra,

I missed to see the post earlier. I thought the post did not evoke any response. I have posted links below. There should be HAMs in Mumbai as well. It would be better if you check with them if they have any activity planned. If needed I check with them and send the material to you for exam preparation. WPC conducts exam for applicants together, so it always better to get along with local ham volunteers and apply together.


HAM / Amatuer Radio license allows you to broadcast in certain frequencies and earn friends across world and also help you in learning stuff from electronics and radio technologies.

Interested may contact the volunteers specified in the earlier post. Classes are conducted in Alwarpet on non monetary basis every Sunday afternoon.
