I recently got a new HDTV and will need to retire my avr 310 cause no hdmi.
I picked up a new AVR 1700 for decent price but can return it soon if i chose to. There were also some display models of an AVR 2600 and a 3600 that are hugely discounted and are basically the same price (cheaper)as my new 1700.
I have two questions
1) how does the AVR 1700 compare to my old AVR 310 in quality and power?
(2) given that the 2600 and 3600 are basically the same price , should i make the exchange to one of these? How do these models compare to power and quality of my 310? And to the 1700?
I am currently running 5.1 with four monster 15", 400 watt cerwins. I like to blow the leaves off of the trees once in a while so i need a bit of power. I might also like to move to 7.1
Any thoughts?
