Hi,

I have Yamaha V667.
I am going to buy a LCD tv.
I just want a simple TV (even 22inch is sufficient).
But I am just worrying about HD content.
As I see tv listed with HD ready and FULL HD (i this does have inbuild HD tuner), I am confused about that.
As I have a very good receiver, do I need to go for HD ready or FULL HD tv.

Another question, will there be huge difference in content between HD ready and FULL HD?

You answer will help me to decide about the TV.

Thanks for the help.

HI!

I have a 32 inch full HD LED tv - LG LE5500. Contrary to what everybody claims there is an amazing & noticeable difference in PQ over HD ready.

For 22 inches & 24" look at the models from Onida. They are full HD & there is one LED model also. Phillips also has a 24" full HD LCD.

For my secondary TV I am going in for LG M237WA . It is full HD with computer connectivity & has Picture in Picture function.

Please suggest any quality TV within 20000 rupees for 32" or 15000 for 22".
Will the VU TVs be a good product. I see this is a new california based company first time in India. I find cheap, 32" tv at just 17450 rupees in eBay, but it does only have 768 (HD ready), so I am worried about it.

Thanks.

Instead of buying that Vu , you can always buy a demo / display unit (full hd) model of samsung, lg or any of the well known brands. But make sure you bargain for one year warranty from the date of purchase.

I find Haier 32" at 19,999, MoserBaer 32" at 19,000 and Toshiba 32" at 19,450.
All of these are 32" and just less than 20,000 and also giving minimum 1 year warranty.
Can I choose someone among these?

If you are going in for a 32" or below size, and if you are not going to be using it as a monitor, then HD Ready is good enough.
As per my experience there is no difference between Full HD and HD Ready.... unless you are going to be watching only 1080p movies at a distance close enough for your breath to fog up the screen.
You mentioned that 22" is enough. I advise you to go in for the biggest screen that your budget can accommodate, instead of paying more money for a smaller TV just because it happens to be Full HD. I think Toshiba is a very good option, but check for the quality of their After Sales Service. And don't allow yourself to be dragged into the unnecessary jhan-jhat of LCD or LED.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
