hdmi splitter

my receiver has only one hdmi input (my TV also has only one hdmi input). but i would like to hookup my bluray player and media player (planning to buy one very soon) to the receiver using hdmi.

so i guess i would need a hdmi splitter.

i saw some splitters on amazon - but they seem more angled towards using the split for two different displays - two TVs etc.

not sure if that would work for me.

appreciate any pointers/suggestions. thanks.

Might be your TV/Receiver is old and hence you have only one HDMI input. Assuming it is old it might not support ARC, 3D etc. If not, where ever you buy make sure it supports the spec required by your TV & Receiver .. eg ARC, 3D etc

An HDMI Splitter displays the same image on 2 or more TVs from a single HDMI source. If you have 2 HDMI inputs and want to switch between them to one HDMI output you need an HDMI Switch.
