Hello friends!

I am from Chennai, and an avid music listener. Have had a relatively low-end Sharp home theater for the past 10 years, and now planning to upgrade to something far superior.

Over this last weekend, I purchased an Onkyo TX NR709 a/v receiver (from Amazon.com -- currently I am on a short business trip to US), and plan to custom build a home theater gradually over the next year or so.

And let me state this categorically -- this forum helped me immensely in this purchase, as I was in lot of quandary regarding purchasing the receiver from US, for using in India. As I continued to browse through the various threads here, I was impressed with the experts contributing here. I hope to become an active participant over the years.

Dear Chennai friends -- I am keen to customize and buy either 7.1 or 5.1 home theater speakers (essentially, the complete system minus the a/v receiver and dvd player) in Chennai. Is there any thread elsewhere on this forum that discusses this, or should I start a new thread?
