First off, Thank you gurus. Yes, to be frank I do not have any decent Hi Fi AV system to be revealed here. I have very basic creative 5.1 music system connected to my Desktop's Sound blaster audigy sound card.

Recently got into my own house and planning to have my kind of music system setup here as there is no restrictions that I had gone through at the rented house.

Building a HTPC of my choice mostly for video and a good Stereo system are my long time thirst and I am seriously looking for help.

I basically listen to rock music all the time, sometimes country music as well and a lot of indian tracks (any language - no restrictions watsoever).

Finally got settled with a Norge 1000 + yamaha ns 8390 pair. Quite happy with its performance.. Looking for a DAC inclusion to my stereo gear.. god, this is not gonna stop huh! hyeah:

Oh I see!!.. I bought NS8390 from Vipul Audio Tech, Chennai (Kilpauk). There is a rumor in the city that Yammy has discontinued NS8390

Nope. In fact Hipercity/Inorbit mall has plenty of stock of them. But forum members are highly discouraging them, though they sounds good when auditioning - may be no deals for seconds...
