My name is Rao. Aged 37, resident of Bangalore.
I am totally floored by the amount of knowledge and experience sharing happening on this page, while I am not an audiophile, but do like great music and its source.
My young adulthood saw me visiting 'Chor bazaar' of Bangalore on Sundays to hunt for Woofers and speakers with Big magnets (I was informed, bigger magnet,superior sound),get it recoiled, hand-made speaker boxes (made it myself),complete with dividing network and glass wool for the effect:lol:. Made many such contraptions and sold them too.:clapping:
I have an Onkyo HTiB, that came in 2004, recently I picked up a Soomoku subwoofer connected directly to the DVD player. In months to come, I plan to acquire JBL tower speakers ES 100,whose sound was 'explosive'.
I have taken a fancy to a projector,my budget being around 1.5L, Epson 3D TW8000 looks promising, at the same time Optoma, and Panasonic PT-AE7000 (am I right), also deserves a review, I request more knowledgable members to pitch in their views and help me decide.
After reading many views and reviews I feel members on this forum shy on posting images of their setups, I am sure there may be a reason for it.
