Hi all,
My name is Anupam. I am originally from Punjab but based out of Sydney AU for over 17 years now.
I am here to discover and share the joy of music and equipment that goes along.
I have been an avid western music listener since I got my first stereo walkman as a birthday gift in my early teens in mid 90-s. My audio cassette collection in the late 90s was in hundreds but then I had to let it all go as I moved to AU. I have been collecting CDs and LPs before moving to digital as primary source of listening.
My taste in music is varied including the following:
Classic Rock (Led Zep, The Doors)
Alt Rock (Radiohead, R.E.M.)
Rock (Nirvana, Pearl Jam)
Indie Rock/Dream Pop (Tame Impala, Khruangbin, Unknown Mortal Orchcestra)
Oldies (The carpenters, Ciff Richard)
A.R. Rahman (I consider him a Genre of its own specially with his mastery of mixing skills since the 90s)
Indian Indie (Peter Cat Recording Co/Lifafa, Prateek Kuhad)
Good Punjabi Music (Gurdas Mann, Amrinder Gill)
and on and on and on
My Kit includes following components:
Main System: PMC Twenty 24, Audio Research VSI75, Cambridge Audio Azure 851N, Custom made cables (I spin my own cables as a side hobby)
Side System: KEF LS50 Wireless with a mac mini, SVS S2000 Sub
Head-Fi1: Astell&Kern A&Ultima SP1000 DAP, Westone W80 IEMs
Head-Fi2: Chord Hugo1, Fostex TH900 MKII
Bedroom System: Bose 700 Soundbar, Bose 700 Bass Module and Bose 700 Surrounds speakers.
Software: Roon subscription, Tidal HiFi, Spotify
