Joined this forum in search of a simple stereo bookshelf system and thanks to the good info here, ended up happy with a pair of MS Mezzo 2's and a 15W/C hybrid tube amp by Dared for a 10x10 study.
In the absence of a player, using a laptop right now and the search is on for a no frills player that would allow wav/flac to be played from USB, that would be my system for now. Not planning for a high end CD player right at this point.
Reading through the forum all I can but probably need some help here. Budget is about 20K for the source, looking for the best audio that could be had at that price. Appreciate any help and pointers in the right direction.
My listening has been limited to classic rock/metal mostly, discovering jazz and oriental music of late. Realized during the audition that probably my ears are happier with a warm sound.
