Let me start by saying how glad I came here.
As student, I never had money to buy expensive audio gear. Built my own amps in high school. They sounded terrible, but I was happy they worked. Tried some Sony audio systems and boy they sound bad. Decided to buy one when I had some money.
Luckily I got my first Yammy RX 765 for a killer deal (USD 329) and booked it right away -- along with 2 basic Polk speakers [I didn't know polks were that bad]. Now that I am returning from US, started Googling for speakers.
That is when I came here. I knew right away this is THE PLACE for audio. Since a month I have been spending 2 to 4 hours reading posts here. I discovered that they're kind of addictive.
And the experts here already saved me from bad purchases worth couple of hundreds dollars. :yahoo:
