Hi,
Samsung make 40" LED TV (Model: 40D5000) is available at 40,899, which i think is a steal price. But the TV carries 1Yr. dealer warranty. when i communicated with the seller, he told that since they are importing the TVs from Thailand, they are able to give it at such a low price and also the TVs carry international warranty, which is not valid in Indian sub-continent. Kindly suggest, whether i should go ahead with the purcahse or not. If anybody from this forum has purchased similar item from net. waiting for suggestions.

Good companies usually minimize the number of defects due to random (or undisclosed) issues.

Having said that, a lot of products break down for no (obvious) reason - that is why you have a warranty for the first year(s).

I have known folks who bought equipment in the grey market, ranging from Rs 5000 to Rs 4,00,000, had them fail without warning as well those who have had them perform extremely well for multiple years.

I have bought some such items / made changes that don't have / negate the warranty but I know my comfort level for these.

It is difficult to give financial advice when only you are aware of your purchasing capacity, safety net and penchant for risk taking.

Good luck with your efforts.

You can check infibeam.com, I liked the service faster and better than letsbuy.com which is the 2nd best according to me.
I found infibeam has the least price as compared to other places.

And beware of timtara.com... I am my friend are in 2nd month and still waiting.. so never order from Timtara

Better is to still use Cash on delivery with any of these

This offer is from ebay.in. How reliable is it?

The Product was selling from GURGAON, HARYANA may be you can ask some of our forum members are there in they can check. But I don't know will they do for you as you intentionally joined to know the details:p:p:D:D.

Anyway just try.:cool::cool:
