HELP!! Denon AVR 3313 and my MAC don't like each other...

Hello:
This is my first post and for help.
I have built a HT which has a Denon AVR 3313; Epsom projector and Paradigm Monitor speakers, along with cable TV, Blu Ray etc. I have a LAN with both WiFi and hard wire. The Denon, Sony BluRAy are hardwired to the LAN channels of the WiFi and my MAC is both hardwired as well as can work on WiFi.

The problem is that i am not able to access the MAC from the "Media Server" of the Denon and the Denon is also not seen in my MAC's network. If i connect a Windows PC to the network, the Denon and the PC recognise each other.

How do i make these two friends??

While i am at it, there is a second issue too!
i like to play the drums ( the old fashioned wooden ones) while listening to music streaming from the Denon via Air Play from my IPod. I would, simultaneously, also like to listen to the same music, through a pair of wireless earphones. How do i go about it?

i have denon 3313 and connected to wd my net900 and i can play songs from my laptop (with itunes via airplay) to the reciever directly no problem.

I experienecd priblem only while playing audio from Lumia 920 to the amp.

amy bluray plays songs from the phone (lumia 920) and i use the usb port on the router to play the songs and i select the netwok==>media server==> then i can see my router with music files in it...

Appears to be an issue resolved by OP..
Anyway.......
Instead of trying to access server from device Initiate play from iTunes via Airplay, that may help you to resolve the problem.

I have 3312 and Denon 720AE both the players accessed from iPad and IPhone.

The problem was partially solved by using a media server-PLEX. But the aspect ratio changes, quality erodes and truth be told, i think it is since i am not well versed with PLEX.
