Guys I m getting 8 months used iPad 2 32 gb wifi for rs.18000 from friends colleague ,is it a good price to get one?

Yeah its a pretty decent deal. Check physical condition visually and call up the apple helpline with the serial number to be sure whether there is valid warranty for the remaining 4 months and whether any existing problem was reported with the ipad with the helpline.

Why do you want to buy iPad?

I bought one since the applications that I use for controlling my music system were not available on Android. Had I wanted to buy it for any other reason, I would have opted for an Android based model.

Buying an iPad differs from people to people, so your requirement was due to the utility it had in controlling the system. Some buy it for browsing and some for games etc.

On Topic, Its a good buy provided the ipad 2 is in good physical condition.

Off Topic, And if someone plans to buy new iPad 2 16GB(24,500/-), then for extra 6k they will get the new iPad (or iPad 3 for 30,500/-)with Retina Display- 4 times better display quality than the iPad 2 and much better than the HDTV display quality) with 5 MP camera and 1080P video recording, Quad core graphics processor is simply the best deal.

Its a good deal. Apart from checking the usual things as mentioned from other FM's above also try and check out the battery life if possible if you are able to borrow it for a day or two.

Yes I have a 16GB wifi iPad 2 as well as a 32 GB New iPad. The display of the newer version is stunning. Being IPS both have great colors. Using the ipad 2 as a souce to my DAC via CCK while the new one for browsing and reading books. Definitely better than carrying my quad core laptop.

These are my first apple product thereby I am no a fanboy. I compared it with a few tab at a croma store and within a few minutes figured out that this was the best bet.

The colors are natural as compared to the highly saturated amoled displays and the OS is so fluid that android feels slightly sluggish. The new ipad plays 1080p content using free players like playerextreme HD. By default it plays uncompressed ALAC and AIFF formats however there is a catch 24/48 is the uppermost limit. So you cant sync 24/96 tracks although you can do the same as well as play flac if you buy a few paid software from itunes.
